Since I was a child, I always admired Martin Luther King, Jr. and seen him as a role model. His unwavering dedication to addressing disparities through nonviolence and to treating all beings on this planet with equality and compassion resonated with me. His message embodies a universal love that transcends time.
His acknowledgment that all beings possess an inherent right to exist on this earth, without anyone else deciding how they should live, or whether they may live or die, was forward-thinking for his era and remains relevant today, more than 50 years later.
Every being enters this world with a unique gift, and when that soul departs, no one else can replicate its distinct signature, making each life so unique and special. This holds true for humans as much as it does for any other creature.
